Learning Journal Week One

When this week began my thoughts were simple. Rubrics yuck!!!! As someone who is a pre-rookie instructor I have begun to see the light. My simple definition of Rubics is as follows: It is a design plan or a sketch used to develop a building plan.

I believe that I epitomize the Adult learner. I can summarize what I mean by this in one sentence. I need to see the purpose in what I do. I do not intend to waste effort on things that I cannot the purpose. I find that this complicates my work life. I am unwilling to accept marching orders simply to please a supervisor. I need to know the why of things.

I am still skeptical of blogging. Perhaps my opinion will change in a few weeks.

I had you pegged as a blogger. Anytime a project is described as "non-directed," it has my name all over it.

Rex, I appreciate your honest and sincere comments about rubrics and being a rookie instructor--we all have to start somewhere. Some of us are just joining in later :-)

Cool Pic, and we were all rookies at one time, but I think you have gained alot of people who will give you a hand.

Rex,
Long time no see. I haven't seen you since the bomb threat, that was fun.

Yes Fran that was an interesting day. Who would have thought that some scrawlings on toilet tissue would create such commotion. We need to get together and have an adult beverage again sometime.
