315 days till my 5th decade.
Wow!
OK so if you are reading my blog. Which it appears almost no one is. Which is indeed o.k.
While I hope that my struggles will at some point help someone else. It is mostly just an outlet for me.
Anyway that train derailed!
If you are reading my blog you have seen a trend. I attempt a journey of self improvement. Sometimes the outcome is a varying degree of success and sometimes it goes by way of failure. I am currently working on a plan such that even by failing I succeed. More on that later.
I have been using a fitbit for about a year and a half now. It does help me pay attention to how much moving I do. It does not always get me up and moving.
If you are overweight you probably have experienced the following.
My body hurts. Specifically my toes. They ache constantly. My knees hurt and I feel weak. I know if I shed lbs. I will feel better, I know if I cut soda I will lose the lbs. Soda is the only thing keeping me moving.
So it truly is self pro filing prophecy. Most of us at this point try a new diet. Most of us have success at this new diet. Many of us spend more than we can afford on said new diet.
That being said I refuse to give up. So what is there to do?
Well I am blessed. I have a tool. I am going to purchase another tool.
I will let you know how that goes.
1st part. I am going to go on a controlled carb and sugar diet.
1500g of carbs per week and 150g sugar.
Here is my logic:
A. Small changes are easier to live with.
B. By calculating a week at a time two things happen.
I. I am less likely to quit when I blow it.
II. I can incorporate a cheat day easier.
C. I am going to add a buy in exercise or cash money. (See the win win here. If I have to pony up cash. Well after a year could be a tidy sum.) I am thinking 10 cents for each gram of sugar and 1 cent per carb. I could also say 10 active minutes for 1 gram of sugar or 10 grams of carbs.
Think I am being hard on sugar?
Take a look at this.
