Learning Journal Week 2

It is difficult for me to look at this image and not feel quite small. Thus, it is the same sometimes wading my way through this course. I feel as if there is so much to learn. I know that I have developed a great many new skills. I read about some of my fellow classmates teaching for 15+ years and marvel. Bear with me as I experience this journey on wobbly legs as I begin to take my first steps on a new journey.

This week there was a great deal of discussion on the effects of rubrics on learning and/or classroom environment. While it can be a powerful tool it does not alone create a perfect learning environment. Further discussion took place relating to Adult Learners and testing. I feel that there is a great deal more to be learned relating to the individual learning process. Society is changing... Do you believe that education can change? What will dictate the structure of education in the future?

By the way if you get some time check this out: http://rateyourstudents.blogspot.com/

Beautiful picture, beautiful thoughts on what a teacher is, and honest feelings and thoughts regarding your personal adult learning journey.

What in the heck was that rate your students thing? I didn't get it. There was a lot of cuss words in it, though.
