And the Bus goes round and round

Here we are in yet another week. It has been suggested that more discussion should take place. It is difficult to say anything when there is nothing to say. This week there were some very interesting activities relating to ethics. It is interesting the various viewpoints that exist. Typically I don't think of ethics as something that may be shaped to individual viewpoints. It is however true that each individual must form their own "code of ethics". It is also true however, that these points of view may at times clash. One, of the exercises depicted just that. Same exercise with the same perimeters different results.

Adult learning takes place much the same as any other age/developmental classification of learning. Success and failures are made up of the items brought to the table by the individuals involved. Adult learners bring experience to play. Instructors have the ability to tap into this experience and use it for positive outcomes of the course. Somewhere during the discussion an example of an instructor that adapted her tactics to overcome a temporary limitation. It is the ability to tap into this experience that could separate an average class or average instructor from one that is exceptional. Each scenario presents its challenge the true test of character is how we adapt and overcome those obstactles place before us. This is as important in the classroom as it is in everyday life.

Rex, your last few sentences are soooo true--each day we are faced with new challenges--we had better be ready--we will be ready if we constantly try to do the right thing.....

Nice job! It has been an honor to learn and share with you--sorry for being an "agitator" at times...I guess that's just me :-)
