I suppose as each family blends together there is a time required for bonding. I wish there was a manual. I would rather it be detailed. For example: When two single parents are dating the appropriate time is the date of the 1st sexual experience + number of children involved * the sum of the age of all the children divided by the age of the eldest single parent and multiply by 2 if it is to be a homosexual union. And so on and so forth.
It truly can be frustrating as I am approaching the longest dating relationship I have ever had as to what the correct formula is to insure that everyone plays nice with each and that I don't feel the need to find a bridge to rapidly drive off of.
This weekend, well in fact yesterday was an attempt to locate a portion of that formula. I seemed somewhat successful at least as far as the gf is concerned. We "the gf and I" stopped by my folks and had a "nice lunch and visit". So we'll see later on what mom has to say.
